Wee Marushka

(Missing Cat poster in Garnethill: Glasgow, Scotland)

I haven’t gone AWOL, well, I have, but I’m alive and kicking. It’s been a super busy working weekend and I’ve hardly had time to brush my teeth or feed the fish. I’ll update this in the morning, but it’s 1am and I’m afraid it’s time for bed!

I saw this the other day and thought of poor wee Marushka wandering the streets, confused, or lost completely. I see many ‘missing’ posters for dogs and cats around Glasgow and they fill me with some sadness as I think about the waif left outside, alone and probably scared, but I’m also heartwarmed by the dedication of their owners who are all clearly distraught at the loss of a pet. On that note, Mr Glasgow didn’t make the grade – he was rather grey about the gills when I fished him out this morning, poor mite.

Anyway, you’ll hear more from me in the morning when I get myself properly organised. I got a call on Friday night from a family friend commissioning a drawing for Monday, so I’ve been hard at work on that and two other projects for next week, simultaneously. It’s been a very short weekend.
