Superpowers!

Oh dear. I have a temperature now and we are about to see if I’ll be quarantined for H1N1 flu (I’m just kidding!). Just a quick note today because my head feels like it’s full of wet cake and I cannot think effectively.
This image cheers me up – I took it at the hilltop temple at Chiang Mai; I was firstly amazed by the sheer number of good wishes and different languages scrawled on these trinkets. This one, however selfish and naïve, was of course the one that caught my eye. In case you cannot make out the words, it reads “I wish for superpowers” in a small persons clumsy, joined-up writing. It is hysterically out of place in this sacred area. Many of these golden hearts had well wishes for newly weds or for the sick, so possibly this young person hadn’t quite grasped the concept of a selfless wish. I think it is lovely in its own way. Right now, I almost wish I had superpowers!
