Sleeping beauties
(Sleeper train from Suzhou to Beijing: China)
On the left you can see my mother, and her elder sister (Jane) is on the right. We decided to book places on the train to Beijing. It was substantially cheaper than flying and we didn’t have to pay for a hotel either. That is the Scot in me speaking… You can see it’s actually very comfortable (I had feared much worse) and it was littered with mod cons. Every bunk had its own television screen in the wall at the foot of the bed, there was a bottle of water for every passenger and there were even little pairs of hotel slippers for us to don for toilet trips. My mum is so delighted with the bunk that she is giving me a double peace sign – clear evidence that she is adopting some Asian traits.
Sorry today’s is such a brief post – I am again working on a manual for a vacuum cleaner. It sounds glamorous but I have a healthy suspicion that some sleepless nights await me over the next week or so.

take care, able to relax, most important.
well, I can teach you a way.
