Rainy Roads
(Rainy day: a lady on an E-bike sporting the obligatory full rain jacket)
Nobody told us until a few days ago that it is monsoon season here. I did wonder actually, since it has been pouring down at least 30 or 40 percent of the time since we got here! Today it is raining again; huge, fat, warm droplets of water that soak you within seconds of leaving home.
I took this photograph last week in Old Town; as in Britain, nothing stops with the rain and life continues – albeit in a different way. This type of rain jacket is given away free with every new electric bike and covers the bike and a single rider. Funnily enough, I’ve never seen two people enjoying the shelter of this cover. So far, we haven’t felt the need to ride in the rain, but if we do, perhaps we’ll try to squeeze both of us under this waterproof. Either that, or I can sit on the back and hold up an umbrella, which is another approach I’ve seen.
You can see she’s also wearing a visor. These seem really popular here in many forms – the most hilarious models cover the whole face like a galactic storm trooper helmet. But I think it’s preferable to breathing in a face full of dust or dirty traffic water.

Haha, you are adapted! for the back seater to hold up an unbrella for the cyclist is not a bad idea. However,
riding in rain is not advisable, especially when the traffic is not in good order.
