Moving home
(The famed shipping: Suzhou, China)
The theme today is ‘moving’. I am very sorry for shifting the position of ‘china meets rosie’ so suddenly. I realise I gave utterly no warning and that it may cause some confusion – if you have managed to make it here via my illustration site, well done. I made it as easy as I could in the circumstances. I have been planning the move for a wee while (just in time for the Glasgow School of Art Degree Show) and I had Simon (my personal web expert) on hand today so I had little choice of timing in the end. Better now than never.
Back to business… I thought you might like to see how the flat looked a mere couple of days after I had meticulously tidied it for my family arriving. The shipping arrived all at once after a staggering journey from Glasgow lasting nine months. All our clothes smelled of damp and as you can see, the thirteen enormous boxes took up most of the living room space. Thankfully after a couple of weeks I had enough time to fully unload everything and wash each clothing item. There was a wave of joy that evening as Ying and I ferreted through each ox in turn, peering in at our long lost treasures; books, favourite shoes, camera accessories, a blender, etc. We did also realise at that point that we could have easily lived without all these items for even longer and now they are forming more mess than use in our home.
Just to let you know, aside from the name, ‘china meets rosie’ will not be moving back ever, or elsewhere very soon. The big redirection arrow won’t be there forever, just to start you off. From now on, please save or check this link;

and you will always find me. Again, apologies for being so clandestine and sneaky about this whole affair. Please leave a comment if you have any problems. PS. To Simon, again, many many thanks for helping me with the site and I won’t forget your kindness to me. Cheers. — Today Rosie is tricking you by moving her websites around in Glasgow, Scotland –

Amazing illustration site! Well done! Spread the word, people!
Nine months for the shipment to arrive from Glasgow to Suzhou? Wow, that is an incredibly looooooooong time! It is probably a Guinness World Record! What a shipping agent you had.
I don’t wish to name names (but it was Pickfords)
Actually, what did they promise you? Did you know that it might take
nine months to reach you? It is incredible. Are all your boxes back?
Are all of them still in good condition?
Yes, I like your illustration site very much! jia you ( 加油)
