(Mini Vienetta!)

To be fair, most topics I have covered here have been significant to me as a cultural study.  This is just a mini vienetta!  We were looking for a snack in the freezer section, I couldn’t believe it when we found it in ‘Family Mart’ at one of the local neighbourhood centres.

These seem to be like a miniature shopping centre for each small area; shops sell clothing, food, DVDs, homewares, but the complex also offers classes in Tae Kwon Do or dancing.  Usually they have an open courtyard in the centre and the shops run around it over several floors.  It seems that children can play inside the perimeters of the neighbourhood centres in safety with lots of other playmates.  The weirdest thing we noticed is that a Tae Kwon Do lesson was going on in the courtyard whilst the other kids were dodging the kicks of the pair of tiny fighters, but by mere inches.

By the way, the vienetta was delicious, in case anyone was actually as excited as I was about eating little versions of heavily processed ice cream products.
