Massive moon
(Moon above Garnethill: Glasgow, Scotland)
There has been much chatter about this enormous moon over the UK this week. I hear it appears about 14% bigger than usual and also, apparently, I missed the best of it last evening, but I sense it is still much larger and brighter than usual, despite not being exactly round. Perhaps this giant moon might explain my troubled sleep of late? The past two or three weeks have been peppered with consistently broken sleep for no reason that I can fathom. I find that these celestial occurances occasionally disturb the natural order of things and have a much greater effect on me than I might realise.
I’m a sensitive soul really. Once I lost my sense of taste for a fortnight from some suspected difficulty with overdoing my pine nut consumption. Coffee is generally out too since a series of post graduation palpitations a few years ago were traced to a heady blend of high stress plus caffeine (although I do make an exception for Ying’s dad’s superb brew). So it is not too difficult to attribute uncharacteristic trouble sleeping with the moon, is it?
