Like your lookalike

(Ying (inset) and his lookalike: Shanghai, China)

This is another cheeky extra post (that I will doubtless be punished for later). Some of you will know his age, but for the benefit of others, Ying is a lot older than you might expect. In fact, he even seems to have been rather hazy about his real name since he is clearly present in the image depicting what must be Mr Baromon and his son. Even I wasn’t aware that Ying was born at the turn of the twentieth century. To assist in the recognition, I provided an inset of the present day Ying. I can’t really change the hair or glasses, but the likeness is quite unsettling.

We stumbled past the window of a Shanghai department store last month and we stood for several minutes gawping as I pulled Ying in front of the glass to compare the facial features. It was astounding for us – I hope you manage to enjoy the similarities as much as we did.

Sorry Ying. It is funny though… I promise when we find my Asian twin, we can stick him / her up here too.
