Lazybones

(Buddy resting: Glasgow, Scotland)

Just a quick one today as it’s been a long day. I started from Carlisle, laden with a fishtank, some pondweed, a coat and my luggage. It has included a journey to Glasgow, setting up of said fishtank (it is bubbling noisily away next to me as I type – perhaps the filter will have to go off at night…), then a brief jaunt to a very sun-kissed park with Suzy and the dog, a cinema trip and evening networking event. I do pack it in. Shame I didn’t get a little more drawing done. I find if a day is already hacked in half by travel, then working time stunted by the novelty of preparing a fishtank for impending inhabitants next week, it tends to get lost even further.

Some days like these are a bit of a write off, but then, I had originally planned to stay a little longer at home since Easter shaved off the first two working days of the week and the Royal Wedding steals the last day – a two day week could have been merrily spent in Carlisle with my family. If I had remained at home, my productivity level would have remained at nil anyway, so no major losses. My nose will be back on the grindstone today, so enjoy this image of Buddy resting his hairy chin on my ankles and depositing a moist mark on my shoes while you can. Today – work!
