Kissing Cats

Cats seems to roam around everywhere here – less so dogs. Very tiny kittens, barely weaned are padding about town and chewing anything with vague interest. Perhaps the reason cats are popular is that they look after themselves – and they may even be employed as rat killers. Near the canal we spotted a rat clambering along the edge of the water, clinging to the eroded brickwork.
