Jackie vs Jet
(Left, Jackie Chan shampoo and right, Jet Li shampoo: Au Chan supermarket, Suzhou)
It appears that many Chinese actors are leaping onto the endorsement bandwagon; here you can see the now familiar ‘Ba Wang’ anti hair-fall shampoo, championed by Jackie Chan. Whilst back in Britain, I watched the television advert for Jackie’s shampoo and he was extremely complimentary about this hair product and maintained that he saw a difference in three weeks. Jet Li, however has obviously been approached by a different rival brand and now they sit, side by smiling side on the supermarket shelves.
They look surprisingly similar with their abundant ebony locks swept to one side and their white, stiff collared shirts. However, Jet seems to have avoided looking too clean-cut with the addition of a leather jacket. Perhaps it is more acceptable as a younger man to choose Jet’s shampoo than Jackie’s? I personally trust Jackie’s cheeky smile and his pointing finger makes him seem more involved with the product (plus, he even supplies an attractive flannel). I love these endorsements; I don’t think any celebrity in the West would put their face and name to what is essentially a shampoo for thinning and balding men.

That’s Christmas sorted, for a certain someone, then!
Brilliant. I think the flannel gift set would lend itself perfectly… if offending the recipient was the object of the gift.
hair is for loosers!
brilliant, i agree though, the finger pointing sold it to me, go jackie!
