Hats, etc.
(Fancy hat: Beijing, China)
Just a quick (late) post today as I’ve been busy with this illustration submission. It’s in the post. This is yet another dressing up shot from Beijing – one which is ruined (or enhanced) by the addition of my jacket hanging over my arm. I was caught rather off guard by my mum in this shot as it was so difficult to be dressed and undressed by the melee of girls surrounding us and keep track of all our effects. At this point I had just rediscovered our bags which were hidden under a pile of discarded outfits. My family were having so much fun that they didn’t seem to consider that their bags and jackets were strewn everywhere.
On the upside, there’s a glint in my eye and my headdress looks stunning, so not all bad.
– Today Rosie is in the UK, colouring in –

You’re only saying that because you were the one dressed as the empress with the little white scarf and extravagant headdress. The imperial sisters were just ladies in waiting.
