Graffiti central
(Graffiti on a derelict wall: Shanghai)
It’s actually a relief to see real, proper graffiti here; since my arrival in China, there has been practically nothing at all on any wall or run down area. It’s heartwarming to see it – I realise that it’s often seen as antisocial behaviour, but when it looks like this, it is more like expression and I honestly believe it is more interesting than a plain old dilapidated building! It’s really the best way to jazz up a nasty area.
