(Girl on bridge: Nanxun)

I really like this picture, though there’s not much to tell.  This is one of the round bridges in Nanxun that doesn’t seem very big until you have to climb it like a small mountain.  On a hot, humid day like this one, it felt like running up twice this many steps.  From the side, these aged stone bridges form a smooth arc over the water and reflect into the water, creating a complete circle in it.  Looking down some of the canals, one can see several of these elegant bridges one behind the other, generating an echoing tunnel effect for hundreds of metres.  It has elements of both Amsterdam and Venice, but with a completely different atmosphere akin to nothing I have ever experienced.
