Cheeky pair
(The two finger salute in the Summer Palace: Beijing, China)
This is one of my mum’s pictures, I like it because she was attempting to take a candid shot and I ended up ruining it (or enhancing it, depending on how you view these things). This corridor is deceptively high and there was merely a knee-high rail running the length of it. The stairs ran from ground level right up to a second and then a third staircase to a hilltop temple near the lake. That day, a boy called Mateo has joined us for the afternoon and he was arranging his shots by stepping over the banister and leaning out precariously on the slippery stone. Had someone squeezed past or shouted at him, he might have wobbled off and made our jaunt even more eventful.
Another post will appear later, this is just one of those pesky extra ones I sometimes slide in.
