(Rosie armed with camera and map, ready to take on China – circa June 2009)
This all started back in summer 2009. Originally this charted the journey of Rosie Cunningham from Glasgow, Scotland in Suzhou, China. The reason for this ‘grand tour’ was due to not having a ‘real’ job, possibly due to a lack of experience, the recession and my own uncertainties about what-I’d-like-to-be-when-I-grow-up prevented it happening. I was fortunate to have the chance to move to China, in Suzhou, so it seemed jolly foolish not to take up the offer! Of course, I wasn’t idle there, I was (as now) a freelance illustrator, with this bit of writing and photography on the side.
What began some time ago as a foray into the (then mystic) East has become a more general exploration of the world I inhabit. Occasionally poncing off to various destinations is not really something I plan. It just happens. I update this regularly with my antics and travels. World, meet Rosie!
Join me on my grand adventure of pictures and words!
